IHSC “EDUCATING THE JEWISH LEADERS OF TOMORROW”Parade048

The Irondequoit Hebrew Studies Center (IHSC), supported by Temple Emanu-El and Temple Beth David, has the unique mission of serving children from both Reform and Conservative synagogues.

Our curriculum explores and respects our diverse Jewish traditions in a creative atmosphere that is sensitive to the individual needs of each student.

Our goal is to give our students an inspiring Jewish education, pride in Reform and Conservative traditions, and rich memories that will contribute to their lifelong learning, religious development, appreciation of Israel, and service to the Jewish community and the world at large.

The Irondequoit Hebrew Studies Center provides kindergarten through seventh grade classes. The kindergarten through second grade classes meet on Sundays from 9:30 - 12:00. The third through seventh grades meet on Tuesdays from 4:15 - 5:45 in addition to the Sunday session. A teen program, Hineni, is also offered. Hineni is a Jewish Arts Education program sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Rochester. It is open to any Jewish teen in eighth through tenth grade, and meets during the Sunday time period. All of these programs are held  at Temple Beth David, 3200 St. Paul Boulevard, Rochester, N.Y. 14617.
