The History of Jews in America

Sunday, January 11, 11 AM

Speaker: Phyllis KasdinShip

We are proud to welcome back Phyllis Kasdin to our brunch program where she spoke two years ago about the Jewish history of Rochester. She is the Special Events Director and On-Stage Camp Director at the Jewish Community Center and has put on a variety of plays at the JCC.

This talk will trace the American Jews’ journey through four centuries, starting with the first Jewish arrivals in New Amsterdam in 1654 until the present time. Included in the talk are Jews facing anti-Semitism, immigration impact on the face of Jewish society and Brunchculture in the U.S

Of course, we will also enjoy a wonderful brunch
 prepared by our Chef-of-the-Month.
